Using Mining to Make WoW Gold.
Mining, mining, this is one of the many great gathering professions to be able to make wow gold from. With a couple producing professions than just one to be able to sell to, you may be on your way to riches and wealth when you farm some of those nodes on your way to Netherstorm!
Mining can be a competitive profession to make money from, and it can also be an easy one. A lot of this competitiveness is depending on how many people are in your server and how many people are miners; this is all depending on your economy and your supply and demand of your server. The auction house can be an odd thing sometimes and it can be a great thing; before you go out and farm your certain ore you may want to check at the auction house first.
Even though a lesser ore may be a bad choice since it sells less, it may be demanded a lot more than the higher grade. For example, an adaminite ore may be sitting in the auction house with a large deposit to put in for days, but a fel iron may be selling for about five gold less a stack but be bought right off the shelf that day when it is put on.
It can all depend on supply and demand, so make sure you take that into mind before setting off and whacking those nodes like a crazy person. Make sure to clean out your bags before you head off, I headed off to a remote place and forgot I had full bags so I had to fly all the way back to clean them out!
When you start off once you decided what you wanted to mine, go to the area you are planning to farm and take a gander at it. Look at the features, look for the hilly and mountainous areas, look where you may be able to find a node. Why are you looking at such things?
Because, mining nodes only appear on mountains and hills; you will almost never find a mining node on flat land so if you have a mountainous area all on the border of your area, try going around in circles in your area close to the border. Once you’re finished deciding your route in an efficient way put up your mining search function on and start going around on your route. Once you see a little yellow dot on your mini-map indicating a mining node, go ahead and whack at it and whack until it disappears. Repeat this process and fill up your bags.
Now, once you have your bags stock full of all the ores you want, you automatically think, “Oh! Let’s go put these on the auction house right away!” Yeah, that can be a great idea sometimes, and sometimes it may be a better idea to wait a bit.
The auction house, again, is a whacky place.
Sometimes, your ore you may just have farmed may be inflated a day, but deflated to bottom prices when you just farmed it; a good add on for this would be Auctioneer to be able to track those prices down and know what to sell it for or when to sell it at the right time!
Knowing this could net you a few more gold pieces, or maybe even more! Also, you may want to search for a jewelcrafter for those ores; though it may be a little risky not knowing what you may get from the jewelcrafter prospecting those ores, it can be a fortune from it! It’s just like the lottery sometimes, it’s all luck!
Prospecting is when you hand the ores to the jewelcrafter, and if you are familiar with enchanting, they destroy the item but get some other items in return such as a rare gem or something else. It is better to deal this kind of thing with a trusted person or a guild mate to make sure they do not steal your items; make sure to be kind and tip the person afterwords to keep the happiness flowing.
Ores have many uses to blacksmiths and engineers; an engineer or blacksmith may be willing to pay good prices live instead of in the auction house for your ore than letting your ore just sit in the auction house. Before settling on giving your ores to the auction house, see if you can get a better deal from selling it live or if you want the gold now. Sometimes it may be a good idea, or a bad one.
